The design for the passage light originates from a series of pieces I was commissioned to make for Bristol Childrens Hospital in 2001.

For this project I created a number of miniature theatre-type sets based on typical fairytale motifs, such as ‘the tower’, ‘the dark forest’ and ‘the labyrinth’. One particular design - the passage - was refined further and adapted to create the passage lightbox.
